Fiber Installation Project

Many of you may have noticed fiber crews boring throughout the neighborhood again. Please note that this fiber installation project was not initiated by the Village at Alum Creek HOA. It is part of a broader infrastructure project being completed through Delaware County.

Below is some helpful information regarding the work:

  1. Utility Easements & Installation Rights
If there is a utility easement located on or along your property, the fiber company is permitted to perform work within that easement area. This may include:

    • Digging a narrow trench or boring underground
    • Installing conduit and fiber lines
    • Accessing the easement area in the future for repairs or maintenance

While this work can feel intrusive, it is legally permitted within the designated easement space.

  2. Project Timeline & Restoration Plans
The fiber installation project is currently expected to be completed by late spring/early summer, weather permitting. This will be a significant long-term benefit for homeowners. Crews will return after installation to:

    • Regrade disturbed soil
    • Reseed affected areas
    • Pressure wash affected areas
    • Repair any items damaged during installation

Restoration typically occurs after the primary fiber work is complete, so some areas may look temporarily incomplete.

  3. Allow Time for Repairs - We kindly ask residents to allow time for cleanup and restoration once installation is finished.
